PROFESSIONAL PROFILE |

Dr.-Ing. Stefan Schäfer has been working as a patent engineer and as a German and European patent attorney candidate since 2022. He is a civil engineer with many years of experience as a research assistant at the Obernach Laboratory of the Chair of Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering of the Technical University of Munich in the fields of physical and numerical modeling of sediment transport and river morphology, fluid mechanics and hydraulic engineering. He has expertise in handling complex measurement equipment, signal and data processing, as well as large amounts of data. For several years, he led various research projects, he was a visiting scientist at NTNU Trondheim and a laboratory assistant at the Laboratory of Hydraulics, Hydrology and Glaciology (VAW) of ETH Zurich. At Bilfinger Construction GmbH, he gained design experience in general structural engineering and tunneling as a structural engineer.
