Franz-Josef Schöniger is a German and European patent attorney. His practice is focused on advising and representing clients in the information and telecommunications technologies before the German and European patent offices, the Federal Patent Court and the Federal Court of Justice (in patent nullity proceedings). In patent infringement proceedings he frequently cooperates with attorneys at law before the competent courts in Germany. He has published several articles on patent protection of computer programs. Due to his experience as research assistant at the University of Tokyo and his knowledge of the Japanese language Franz-Josef maintains particularly intensive contacts with his Japanese clients and colleagues.
